The Walk to Autzen

The action starts two to three hours before kickoff with the walk to Autzen. Join the waves of fans making their way across campus, over the Frohnmayer Bridge, toward the south side of the stadium.

The Pre-Game Party

Ducks take tailgating seriously. Join us in the Autzen Stadium parking lot amid billowing charcoal smoke and the sounds of "Mighty Oregon," the Ducks fight song. If it rains, fans fall back to the Moshofsky Center ("The Mo"), a massive indoor practice space with food vendors, two bars, and live music.

Dressed to Impress

Ducks are known for their uniforms, so it鈥檚 no surprise that fans want to get in on the action. Every season, Oregon Football posts a 鈥淐olor Schedule鈥 that tells fans to wear a certain color鈥攇reen, yellow, green-and-yellow stripes, or black鈥攖o each game, as a show of force to visiting teams.

Grateful Ducks

A Grateful Dead鈥搕hemed matchup against Wisconsin saw fans decked out in tie-dye, while players鈥 jerseys incorporated the Dead鈥檚 dancing bears and skull-with-lightning bolt symbols.

Thousands of Ducks Ready to Roar

They call Autzen 鈥渢he loudest stadium in America鈥 for a reason. The pre-game rituals begin with a roar as The Duck, the team mascot, arrives on the back of a custom green-and-yellow Harley-Davidson. The sound of the engine is soon eclipsed when 50,000 fans jump to their feet as the Ducks take the field.

鈥淚t never rains in Autzen Stadium!鈥 the announcer bellows after sharing the game day weather conditions. It鈥檚 a slogan you鈥檒l hear and see on T-shirts and banners鈥攁 tongue-in-cheek rebuke of Eugene鈥檚 rainy reputation. The game hasn鈥檛 even started, and the energy is off the charts.

Drop and Give Me 546

Tradition dictates The Duck perform pushups equal to the home team鈥檚 total points after every score. The current record is 546 push-ups, set during the Ducks鈥 81鈥7 victory over Portland State in 2023.

Make You Want to Shout

Like clockwork, at the start of the fourth quarter, Otis Day & the Knights鈥 鈥淪hout鈥 blasts from the house speakers, starting a stadium-wide singalong and dance party, with fans slowly sinking to the ground (鈥淎 little bit softer now鈥), then rising back to their feet (鈥淎 little bit louder now鈥). The raucous ritual refers to a scene in the beloved 1978 film National Lampoon鈥檚 Animal House, shot on and around the 糖心官网 campus.

When the clock runs out, the party doesn鈥檛 end; it migrates: back over the bridge to celebrations around campus, or to East 13th Street and downtown to commemorate another epic day at Autzen.
