Alternative Admission Students
We welcome applications from students who have not met the standard admission requirements or have graduated from non-accredited high schools.
Review the guidelines below to apply as an alternative admission student.

| Missing coursework requirements | You can fulfill missing high school coursework requirements in one of two ways: 1.) Earn a total score of 940 or above for two SAT Subject Tests: Math I or Math II and any non-math SAT subject test. 2.) Take high school or college classes to complete missing coursework. We strongly encourage you to reach out to UO Admissions to be sure the courses will meet missing requirements. In general, a one-term transferable college course of at least three credits (quarter system) is equal to one year of high school work. |

Applying from a High School That Isn鈥檛 Regionally Accredited
If your high school isn鈥檛 regionally accredited, you鈥檒l follow the First-Year student application process with a few modifications. Reach out to UO Admissions if you have any questions.
Complete Your Application
Use the 糖心官网 application or the Common Application, following directions for First-Year applicants. Include a self-reported transcript.
Demonstrate Second Language Proficiency
You can meet this requirement by passing a proficiency test, earning a minimum grade in two college terms of a language, or through a range of other methods.
Strengthen Your Application
While these aren鈥檛 required, you can strengthen your application by submitting SAT or ACT scores or completing 12 or more credits from a regionally accredited college or university.
Veteran Services
The 糖心官网 welcomes students who have served our country as members of the armed forces. Veteran students can apply using the standard application process as either a first-year student or transfer applicant.

The program is geared towards sixth through ninth grades, but children of all ages can attend with their parents. All Latino programs are in Spanish and English.

Homeschooled Student Admissions
As a homeschooled applicant, you must meet the following requirements to be evaluated for admission. Meeting these, along with the first-year application requirements, makes you eligible for admission consideration through our holistic process.
- Complete the Oregon Application, being sure to list 鈥渉omeschool鈥� as a current/previous school attended. You should list this even if only part of your high school record was earned through homeschool study.
- Submit your self-reported transcript.
- Demonstrate second language proficiency.

General Education Development Students
There鈥檚 more than one path to college, and earning a General Education Development degree (GED) is one of them.
Here鈥檚 what to know if you鈥檙e applying to the 糖心官网 as a GED student:
- Before you apply, check that your GED score meets the minimum requirements. If your score isn鈥檛 high enough, consider applying through one of the Additional Applicant Types.
- If you received your GED in the spring of 1997 or later, you鈥檒l need to demonstrate second language proficiency as part of your application.
- GED applicants aren鈥檛 eligible for automatic scholarships, but you can explore other types of scholarships and financial aid.

Submit Your Scores
Send your GED scores to the 糖心官网 through the GED Testing Service. (UO will consider HiSET or TESC scores on a case-by-case basis.)

How To Apply as a Postbaccalaureate Undergraduate Student
Submit your application and all required documents at least 30 days before the start of your desired entry term.

Complete the online UO application to apply as an undergraduate (not graduate) postbaccalaureate student. Pay the application fee.

Have all prior colleges or universities send an official transcript, including your degree date. (If you鈥檙e a UO grad and haven鈥檛 attended any other schools since high school, you can skip this step.)
International Postbaccalaureate Undergraduate Students
If you鈥檝e already earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree and want to pursue a second undergraduate degree, you can apply as an international postbaccalaureate student.
You鈥檒l follow the application process for international undergraduate students with a few modifications.

Important notes:
- Are you a U.S. citizen or permanent resident? Apply as a postbaccalaureate undergraduate student.
- If you plan to major in business administration, communication disorders and sciences, art, or music, submit your application and the Office of Admissions will contact the academic department for departmental approval.
- The deadline for postbaccalaureate applications is 30 days before the start of the term you wish to enter. However, additional time may be needed to ensure appropriate visa and immigration documentation is in place.

How to Apply as an International Student
Submit Your Transcript
Have all prior colleges or universities send an official transcript, including your degree date.
Submit Test Scores
Send official exam results that meet the minimum required score: 500 on a paper-based test or 61 online for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
Submit a Second Degree Statement
Share a personal statement about why you鈥檙e interested in pursuing a second undergraduate degree in your chosen major.
Demonstrate Financial Resources
US law states that all applicants who need to obtain a student visa to study in the US must send a bank statement, certificate of balance prepared within the last six months, or a scholarship letter equal to the cost of one academic year.
