Departmental Honors Programs
Pursue advanced study through departmental honors programs across roughly 30 majors. Requirements vary by department.

College of Arts and Sciences
From humanities to the sciences, nearly every College of Arts and Sciences major offers Honors programs, which often culminate in a student thesis based on mentored research.

College of Design
Design students in the Honors Program pursue independent research with faculty mentorship and can apply for funding to support related travel and opportunities.

Lundquist College of Business
As part of the Honors Program, you’ll take honors-level business courses, strengthen your leadership skills, and connect with motivated peers and alumni.

School of Journalism and Communication
Journalism and Communication Honors Program members take small, interdisciplinary classes and conduct original research alongside faculty mentors.

Academic Honors Lists
The UO recognizes outstanding academic achievement through Dean’s List honors each term as well as Phi Beta Kappa and Latin honors awarded at graduation.
